WHO WE ARE

We keep the housing process moving

Neighborhood Eden is a nonprofit housing connector and operations agency dedicated to making government rent assistance work the way it should. We support families, landlords, and public agencies with the coordination, communication, and care needed to turn housing programs into real homes.

Our work sits at the intersection of community support and system operations. We help families navigate their housing journey, assist landlords in activating and maintaining units, and partner with cities and housing authorities to strengthen program administration, compliance, and overall system flow.
From voucher navigation and rent-up coordination to landlord engagement and PHA operational support, we bring clarity and follow-through to every step of the process. Our team understands the complexities of government housing programs and knows how to reduce bottlenecks, streamline communication, and move households into stable housing faster.
At Neighborhood Eden, families aren’t just cases, landlords aren’t just contacts, and agencies aren’t just partners. Every placement, every unit, and every program we support is part of our mission to move housing forward with precision, partnership, and heart.

Frequently Ask Questions

Neighborhood Eden is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that serves as a housing connector agency and program operations partner. We support families using government rental assistance, help landlords navigate the leasing process, and assist PHAs and cities with program administration, compliance, and system flow.
We don’t conduct full housing searches. Instead, we connect families to units we’ve sourced through landlord outreach, partnerships, and agency referrals — and we guide them through paperwork, readiness, and move‑in.
Yes. We support families, landlords, and PHAs involved in Section 8/HCV and other government rental assistance programs. Our team understands the documentation, inspections, compliance, and communication required to keep the process moving.
Yes. We provide program administration support — including eligibility review, documentation management, compliance, landlord engagement, and full operational coordination — for government rental assistance and affordable housing programs.
We serve as a liaison between landlords and agencies. We help with paperwork, inspections, communication, tenant matching, and navigating an often complicated process. Our goal is to make leasing to voucher‑holding tenants smooth and predictable.
Yes. We assist developers with rent‑up, tenant selection, Housing Connect navigation, compliance, and ongoing occupancy support to keep buildings leased and in good standing.
No. While we specialize in government rental assistance, we also support affordable housing compliance, developer rent‑ups, PHA operations, and community‑based housing initiatives.
We currently operate in New York City and Milwaukee. Neighborhood Eden is also actively expanding its capacity through remote coordination and structured partnerships, allowing us to support housing programs and contracts across the United States with confidence and consistency.
Families are typically referred by case managers, PHAs, or community partners. We also work directly with landlords who have available units and want to lease to voucher‑holding or income‑eligible households.
There is never a cost to families for our services. In New York City, there is no cost to landlords while city funding is available, as the city covers placement‑related fees.
In other locations, costs may vary depending on the project, program structure, and level of support required. Any fees are always discussed upfront and tailored to the specific partnership.
